What the hell is this blog all about? Well, it is always evolving.

At first, I was just trying to deepen my understanding of craft beer, and writing my thoughts and experiences down, and keeping to a regular schedule of blog posts, seemed to help.

I began by reviewing commercial, and sometimes homebrewed, beers in an attempt to put into words the different flavors and aromas I was sensing.  That was a cool exercise and I think it helped. But beer review blog posts lost their charm and faded pretty quickly after I discovered that I didn’t really seek out other people’s beer reviews, therefore why would they want to read mine?

For the last year or two, I’ve posting more and more about homebrewing and various beer events.  I’ve been homebrewing since 1995, so I write about the beers I’m brewing, the equipment I’m using, and the new techniques I’m trying.   I hope to brew every single style before I die, so the race is on.

Please look around and let me know what you think. I enjoy answering questions, and I’d love to hear suggestions for future blog posts.

If you are truly curious, I was interviewed by Velky Al on Fuggled.net in late 2010. The Homebrewer of the Week interview link is here.

I’ve got a bio on Iron Brewer, as well, that is 120% factual.

This is me on Twitter and G+.
